MEMBERSHIP Membership in the Chatham Garden Club is limited to 200 active and honorary members and 50 sustaining members. All members must be legal residents of Chatham at the time of their application. To apply for membership, secure a membership application from the Membership Chairman, Jean Greenough. The application must be signed by two sponsors who are members of the Club. A member may sponsor only one applicant and may cosponsor only one applicant during any club year. The Membership Chairman maintains applications in chronological order and presents them for consideration at the next regular Board meeting. A majority vote will approve an applicant for the waiting list. An applicant will be notified in writing when she is accepted into membership. A regular member of five years or more who does not attend three meetings in a Club year must request in writing to the Board to be placed on sustaining status or be dropped from membership. Dues for active members are $25 and are payable in April, May, or June. Members whose dues are unpaid by June 30 will lose their membership.
